We’ve seen endless runners that let you play as secret agents, animals, and treasure hunters, and now thanks to Indiana Stone The Brave and the Boulder we get to see how boulders feel about things. Not just any boulders mind you, but the kind that likes to roll after treasure seeking adventurers. They’re big, they’re fast, and they definitely hold a grudge… When you first fire up Indiana Stone you’re taken through a brief tutorial to show you the ropes of the game. Your boulder rolls automatically, and you’ll just need to tilt your device to control it, and tap on the screen to jump. There are a few power-ups as well – when you hit five running victims you’re “POW” gauge fills up, and you become invincible for a short time. The only other assistance you’ll receive is from going through speed hoops that randomly appear throughout the levels. By the numbers Indiana Stone offers up 4 different modes of play and several different locations to run through including Egypt and China. New modes become unlocked as you make your way through the game, and you’ll also get the chance to unlock new boulders. Indiana Stone is great for some quick fun, but definitely has some depth with its multiple modes, secrets, and unlockables. I’ve never been a huge fan of the Endless Runner genre, and it takes something special to get me to drop cash on a running game. Indiana Stone: The Brave and the Bold is one of the more interesting runners I’ve come across, and it’s definitely a fresh take one things with you playing the boulder. The graphics and overall atmosphere are spot-on as well, and there are no annoying IAP’s or ads to deal with. If you’re looking for fun new runner, you’ll want to check this one out.
