Since the beginning of time Man has struggled to control the Elements… and generally we’ve failed. If you’d like to give it a go and think you’ve got the right stuff, there’s an Android Game called Alchemy Classic HD from Niasoft that might just be the thing for you.
There have been quite a few Carnival themed Android games over the past month or so, and the latest is Gingerbread Circus by IOJOE. Gingerbread Circus is not a circus simulation game, and you’re not going to be firing clowns from cannons either. So what is the Gingerbread Circus? Well, it’s a Circus run by the Gingerbread People of course! They’ll have you popping balloons, bursting open piñatas, and you’ll even help an elephant or two out with the recycling. The little gingerbread people are always there to cheer you on and ensure that you have a good time…

When I saw the name “Shovel Heroes” in the market, I knew it was a game about digging. What I didn’t know was how much fun it would turn out to be. Shovel Heroes is a new game from Progrestar that’s a new take on digging games, and it lets you do a lot more than just dig. The gameplay is top-notch and will definitely keep your attention as you search 80 different islands.
Here at Android-Apps we love RPG games, and Star Traders RPG by Corey Trese is definitely one of the best out there. It’s not your typical Final Fantasy type game either… it’s actually an awesome turn-based strategy game/RPG that’s set in space. You’ll have to manage your supplies and crew while running missions, trading and fighting throughout the galaxy. Star Traders RPG is by far the most in-depth game I’ve played on Android, and it’s also a game that proves you don’t need 3D graphics to make an outstanding game.
Sir Isaac Newton is best known for his contributions for physics, and now he’s going to be known for a fun Android game called Isaac Newton’s Gravity. The fun graphics and set this physics puzzler apart from the rest, and it doesn’t hurt that it’s got around 100 levels to play either. There are lots of Android Apps that deal with physics, and this is one of the better physics based games we’ve played. After giving this game a good run through, here’s what I though about Isaac Newton’s Gravity…
I mainly just review newer games and apps, but I thought it would be nice to shine the spotlight on some of the older apps & games new Android users might not know about. The first older game I wanted to review is actually the first game I played for Android… Homerun Battle 3D. It’s been out for quite some time now, and in my opinion is still one of the funnest games in the Market. For a game with a lot to offer, its market description is surprisingly vague which makes it the perfect candidate to review. Here’s a rundown of HomeRun Battle 3D for Android…
If you wanna go retro, nothing screams 80s like break dancing. I remember trying to spin on my head as a kid, and failing miserably. Occasionally, you’ll still see some drunken foot trying to do the worm at a party or wedding, but for the most part “breakin” has gone the way of the dinosaur. Well, thanks to a new game called Red Bull BC One, you can do a little dancing on your phone. It’s done with a new breed of breakers, so you won’t see the Boogaloo Shrimp in this one… even though it would have been awesome. After pop lockin’ with this game for awhile, here’s what I thought about the Redbull BC One Challenge…
Ever wanted to be a Worm that eats people and destroys things? Me neither, but it sure is fun play one in “Death Worm” from PlayCreek. The monster in this game is a giant worm that looks like he came straight out of the movie Tremors. Your job is to eat people, animals, and generally cause a lot of chaos. It was a big hit on the Iphone, and now those of us with Android can enjoy the game.
I stumbled across a series of interesting games in the Android market a few weeks ago, the first of which is Colour My Heart. The games were designed by Silver Stitch, with music by Coin. They were originally available on the web through sites like Newsgrounds, but have been ported over to Android by developer Anderdroid Apps. There games are more “artistic” in nature than anything else I have ever played. They look simple, but don’t be fooled there is quite a bit you can do as you travel through the dreary Black & White worlds. Silver Stitch has done 4 games in the series, and Anderdroid Apps has ported over 3 so far. Here is a brief rundown of these unique dystopian games…
I’ve always enjoyed finding games in the Market that are a little different. YoYo Games and Jesse Venbrux have done that with a new Android game called “They Need to be fed.” In this funky little game; you’ll take guide your character through the levels, and feed yourself to a monster at the end. It’s harder than it sounds as the whole game is set in zero-gravity, and you’ll have to avoid many deadly obstacles along the way.
