Last week Facebook put the word out about a media event related to Android and the rumors have been flying ever since. The latest comes from 9to5Google and says that Facebook Home may be the name of the new project, and it’s going to bring Facebook to the forefront on the operating system we all know and love. Yay?
Facebook is a brand name that we all know and in some ways has become part of our lives whether we use the service or not. The social networking entity is making a move to become an even bigger part of our lives by pressing to integrate itself directly into our Android OS.
WIND Mobile have just released a brand new app onto the Android market. The ‘Cover Photo Maker app’ allows you to easily create cover photos for your Facebook profile. With the new Timeline being rolled out to pretty much everyone’s Facebook profiles now, almost everyone has the option of adding a cover photo to add a bit more personality and flare to their Facebook profile but, it can be hard deciding what to use and finding a picture that actually works well with the dimensions of the cover photo. This particular Android app released by WIND Mobile solves that problem though.
The Facebook social media app for Android has been updated to version 1.9.8 and brings with it a few more improvements and features. With the new Facebook Android app update, you are now able to create new events straight from your Android smartphone, where as previously you could only view events you were already involved in. The photo uploading UI has also been improved in the latest update.
