Last week we told you about the soft launch of G.I. JOE Battleground for Android which is currently only available to folks in a few regions. Well, thanks to a friend overseas I’ve spent the past couple of days playing around Battleground and I’m happy to say you will not be disappointed if you’re a fan of G.I. JOE.
Earlier this week it was announced that Mobage & DeNA would team up with Hasbro to released new games based on Dungeons & Dragons and G.I. Joe. Last night the first of those games hit Google Play as a limited release, and if you’re one of the lucky few, you can now download G.I. Joe: Battleground on your favorite Android device.
It’s pretty safe to say that Tekken is a classic, and a lot of us would love to see it on Android in some form. Namco Bandai is set to make that happen, but not in the way you might think. DeNa and Hasbro have signed a three year deal together, allowing DeNa to release Transformer themed games through its social gaming network developer, Mobage. DeNa are the publishers behind the highly popular virtual card game Rage of Bahamut. The first Transformer themed game to be published by DeNA will also be a virtual card game which will be available on the Android platform.
