Google have just released their latest update to the Google Maps Android app, which comes as standard on any Google certified Android device these days. While there may be several different Android apps available on the Google Play Store to help you identify music you're listening to, Shazam is one of the most popular and well known apps. If a song is playing you don't know, instead of searching for the lyrics online, just load the app up and it will identify the song. Up until now, as well as being able to 'tag' music, select sponsored ads and TV shows could also be tagged by tapping a button within the app. Now however, any TV show can be tagged to find out what it is and be given more information about it.

Adobe update Photoshop Touch app, now supports 12 megapixel images

Adobe have updated their Photoshop Touch app which is available for Android tablets running Android 3.1 and above. In the latest version of the portable touch version of Photoshop, the app now supports images up to 12 megapixels in size and up to 16 layers. Although the default resolution is set at 1600 x 1600 pixels so to make use of the new feature and bring the resolution up to 2048 x 2048, you will need to manually change the setting within the Android app on your tablet.
