Histify is a private first journal.In May 2011, founder Micky Dionisio went on a trip to Europe with his fiance. They decided to journal each days festivities in detail. She made notes of memorable moments such as the adventure to find italian slacks in Sicily, a topic of conversation at a cafe in Paris, or an interesting encounter with an accordionist on a train. When they read these entries a few months later it was surprising how much they had forgotten and wished they could visualize – What did that cafe look like? What about that accordionist? What was the store called in Sicily where they finally found the right slacks? With an trip to Hong Kong approaching, Micky wanted to take a similar approach to travel journaling but this time with the aid of technology. He developed a quick mobile app that would be able to take a photo, geotag it, add notes and save it off for upload once connected to the internet. It worked like a charm. Fast forward a few months came the birth of Histify. What started out as a simple travel journal has become an extension of memory. A way for someone to take note of important moments in life, share and organize them in a way that makes reminiscing simple. Create your history one moment at a time.
