In the recent times, many users and investors in the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) have requested for personalized information sharing that assists them to know more about securities listed on the NSE and thus facilitate their decisions on buying and selling of the same.NSE has therefore put together an Android application that provides users with Market statistics for listed securities as well as corporate actions that affect their securities holdings. Additionally, we have introduced a Virtual My-Share portfolio, where users can select shares from listed companies, indicate an amount of shares they have/wish to buy and get a feeling of how their portfolio would look like thus showing some real scenario with end of day market data.This application we feel will go a long way to assist users who interact with NSE all over the world to grow in knowledge, facilitate their decision making thus profit even the most basic of our investors/usersWith time, we intend to add features such as notification where users can be notified whenever a selected share goes past a set price by user, as well as integrate with the CDSC system to pull a users actual shares and have them see the real value of their portfolio with real-time data.
