The Bixi Land app shows a map of all the Montreal Bixi docking stations, The mapped locations are colour-coded to indicate whether there are bikes and/or spaces available. The station status is updated in real-time.The extensive Montreal Island bike path network is traced on the underlying map. Tapping a button centers the map to the rider’s true GPS position.The app will locate the closest docking station and then shows its current status in a pop-up box.It is free of advertising and is designed as a tool for the rider, not a promotion.There is also a brief explanation of the Bixi price calculations, which can be confusing to the new user.
