This application is for use with Swivel Secure’s PINsafe Authentication Platform it is compatible with both pre and post PINsafe Version 3.8 The PINsafe authentication model is for the user to be sent a 10 character security string and use their PIN to extract a one-time code from this security string. For example if the user has a PIN of 2468 and they are sent a security sting of 2187439650, the one-time code they would use to authenticate would be the 1736, the 2nd, 4th, 6th and 8th characters of the string. The security string can be sent via SMS to the end-user, the PINsafe iClient is an alternative solution. The iClient downloads 99 security strings from a PINsafe server. When the user wants to authenticate they enter their PIN into their iPhone and the iClient displays the one-time code they need to use to authenticate.
